HDMI monitor problems

I just got a viewsonic HDMI LCD monitor and when the computer boots it bypasses the bios screen , bios screen works with old non HDMI monitor ?

You didnt give any system information. We cannot read minds.

I imagine all that is happening is that the HDMI is not a primary output and doesnt kick in until the display drivers load. Only a guess though without information.
