Out of date or out of stock?

I am having a bit of trouble finding this graphics card

EVGA 640-P2-N824-AR GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16

every where i have looked it is either out of stock or way to expensive the price newegg.com showed is 187.99
I was looking for a price around there.

That is probably because that card has been replaced by the 9600 series,and is no longer being made..

Yes, its the older generation. The equivalent would be the 9800 series.

is the newest series a PCI express x16
not the 2.0 b/c my mother board is only a x16 slot

^+1 Any new card would would with yours. In the range of the 8800 series, look at the 9800GTX+/GTS 250.
