New GTX 285 issues!!!! Please help!

So I just built my first PC. I installed my new Gtx 285 but I have been having some issues with quality. The first game I started playing COD4. Problems!!!! While playing it will kind of stutter I want to say. I guess it's like this, when I stop and turn to the left/right, it will stutter for a second. What could be the cause of this?

Asus p6t
6gb 1600mhz
850w psu
20" monitor 1680x1050
1tb hd
Vista 64bit

Normally, Id say vram or cpu, but it appears you have that covered by the HW you have. Id try reinstalling the drivers, but check to see if theres other anomolies in other games first
