I have a USB Razer Copperhead mouse, which is excellent, apart from one strange problem; on the DOS startup screen for Windows, it will stop just before the hard drive information is displayed. I have to unplug the mouse, and it continues the boot-up. I then plug it back in and it is fine. It has done this for as long as I can remember, but all I can think is that the boot-up sequence doesn't like the USB slot. I have tried the older connection for a mouse ( cannot remember it's name, the adaptor jack is bright green) and it just doesn't recognise the Razer as being plugged in.

Can anyone help with this?

Somethings to try.
1. Have you contacted Razer to see if you have the latest firmware? http://www.razersupport.com/index. [...] 18&nav=0,1

2. Sometimes if you change the USB port that you use to connect the mouse the mouse is not recognized. Try uninstalling/reinstalling the driver with the mouse plugged into the port you actually use.

3. Go into BIOS and uncheck LEGACY USB support.

4. Is your keyboard USB? If not then disable USB Keyboard support in your BIOS

That green jack should be the PS/2 mouse port.

Good luck. Let us know how it turns out.
