Hey guys I'm a lurker coming out of the closet it seems, trying to get a idea for a new gaming rig and since we have time till P67 is revised i figure i have some time. Short of going liquid what are people considering to be a top notch aftermarket cooler? I will prolly dable in some overclocking. The Noctua is beast, i've always been partial to Thermaltake though. When i switch out my case i'll prolly do liquid but for now air is fine.

Regards,
Joedub

Hi and welcome to Tom's forum.

Thermalright Archon>Thermalright Silver Arrow>Noctua NH-D14. What is your budget?

1. Thermalright Megahalems Rev.B
2. Noctua NH-D14
3. Thermalright Silver Arrow

Hell, I'm overclocking my 2500K to 4.8GHz with a Scythe Rasetsu cooler and that's not even in the top ten. However, with the excellent case cooling I have, it keeps the load temps (IntelBurnTest on Maximum) in the low 60sºC.
