I am running an E8500 CPU in my system with a HD 4890 GPU, P45 motherboard, 8G of DDR3 1600 RAM, 750 watt PSU, 5 hard drives, 2 optical drives, sound card, TV tuner, Antec 900 case, and Vista 64 bit. I should Have enough power too run a second 4890 video card in my system at 8X. I have a question about if I did add a second GPU. Would the E8500 be able to support two 4890's GPU's? I have not over clocked the CPU either. I read some where that someone suggested over clocking to 3.6G using two 4870.

Yes, if you need the extra power from a second 4890, your CPU can feed them.
If you overclock the CPU, it can do nothing but further increase your performance.
I would recommend reading the Core2 overclocking sticky along with the GPU overclocking sticky and trying for a free increase in performance (overclocking) before spending the cash on another GPU.
