I wanna buy the GIGABYTE MA785GM-US2H mb and it has an 8-pin CPU power connector. is that a requirement for the computer to work? cuz if it is, im buying a psu which doesnt have one. instead, it has a p4 MB connector. will that work on my mobo? thanks PS: im planning on using an AMD Athlon II X2 245 @ 2.9 Ghz.

Translation?
after reading the reply I'm thinking he means he has a power supply with a 4 pin connector and wants to buy a motherboard with an 8pin if he can?

the answer is yes, unless your power supply is really old then It might not have enough 12volt output.
