Could you try using an alternate power cable? What does your monitor plug into for power?

If your pc is custom built or has a dedicated video card you can try...

1. Go into your bios and make see if there are any settings regarding what the pc uses for video first. Make sure it's set to where your vid card is installed. If your using onboard video make sure it's set to first.

2. If your video card has 2 monitor outputs try moving the monitor to the other video port.
