I had a similar problem in which i had to re-install Windows XP and all of my drivers were gone. My network adapter driver(the RAS Async Adapter Driver) included, so i downloaded Driver Robot on another computer and installed it on the old one(saving the setup file(.exe) onto a flash drive). Once it gave me the results, I saved them back onto my flash drive and opened on a computer with an Internet connection. I then downloaded the drivers to my flash drive and then ran it on the old computer. Now the computer works like a charm.
I really do hope that this helped.
Sincerely, Person In The Same Boat
