Hello,

I am about the build a system around Athlon II X4 620. I have not decided on the motherboard. But I will get something with AM3 socket from Asus or Gigabyte.

For memory I found

OCZ Obsidian 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model OCZ3OB1600LV4GK on http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227495

They are only $63. But there are no reviews about them. Are they any good? Do anyone have any experiences with this particular unit?

Thanks.

Well, they are on sale, maybe because they're new. Let's call em $94 RAM kits.

There are faster latency modules out there, but not for this price. And these aren't bad regardless. The 1.65V would bother me if it was an i5/i7 build, since you'll likely want 1.7V to run them - but no problem with a Athlon II x4

I've seen some complaints, I think, about the slow slow OCZ rebate process - but I expect that - if you're happy getting your check (or debit card) in 12 weeks, it's no big deal. Explore other NewEgg OCZ comments for this - or might try searching Google for OCZ rebates.

I'd say go for it.

Here's my favorite DDR3 RAM btw
