I've read a lot of good reviews and a few bad reviews, the bad reviews make it seem like the worst card ever.
First, a couple of things I have noticed is that it doesn't have automatic clock speed like other cards do. I don't mess with oc'ing or anything in that area.
What clock speed should I run the card at? I do play games a lot crysis, gta 4 etc. Since I don't oc can I leave it at stock.
I hear its not a lot of difference between the 8800 series cards (Haven't looked into the charts)
I'm currently running the xfx 8600gt 256mb card, im pretty sure I should notice a pretty big increase in performance.
The card may or may not come with EVGA Precision, a program that lets you overclock/underclock and of course change the fanspeed. Either way it is available on the EVGA site (version 1.7). Temperatures up to 75C under load would be acceptable but you could turn the fan up to lower them if you wish.
The 8800 and GTX260 are totally different, whoever told you they are similar is incorrect.
I think if you pair it with the rig in your other thread you'll be smiling like the Cheshire Cat!
