TIFF is a standard image format...almost any application to view photos will
open tiff files.

So what on the PPC will read a TIFF File?? When I try to open it, it tells
me it does not know what to do with it.
I saved it and tried to open with Picture, Album and did not have any
Success.
Thanks,

Actually, this is not true. Since the Unisys lawsuit (where
they claim to have a patent on the compression technology)
the .DLL on the PPC responsible for working with .TIFF's
refuses to open many types of them, barfing an error message
stating the above. Nobody apparently is willing to pay the
licensing extortion fee.
Resco and others use this .DLL, so they all fail.
Haven't tried it recently, so don't know if it's still
a problem...if it is, you can open & re-save with your
desktop - just make sure to use the "non-lawsuit" flavor
(can't remember what it is - LZW or packbits).
