Install Notepad

Under the Edit menu in notepad the cut option is grayed out. The copy menu is active. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Well, if you think there is something wrong with Notepad then replace it.

See here in which of these you will find a copy of notepad.exe

C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386
C:\WINDOWS\DLL CACHE
E:\I386 (your win xp cd)

backup , and replace your Notepad.exe from C:\WINDOWS
