Hi all,
I built a HTPC recently and used on old hard drive that recently failed. So i am looking to replace it and wanted some input. I do not need a large amount of storage...right now i do not have a TV Tuner card, but i do torrent some sports games (only 10gb or so) and use the HTPC as a backup for personal files of my main pc. So i was thinking 500gb would be much more than enough.

So, i am looking for recommendations based on three main criteria:
- Energy efficient (since I want to have this on a lot and i understand that HD performance is not very important for an HTPC)
- Quietness
- Budget - obviously cheaper is better but i will spend if warranted. As a benchmark i have seen a lot of ads for $40 500 gb HDs.

System:
i3 530
Antec MicroFusion Remote 350 Micro ATX Media Center / HTPC Case
No GPU
4 gigs RAM

Thanks all
