Mapping a network drive in xp

Hello,
I"m a system administrator inn my company.
I mapped networks drives in my desktop in the organization. every time I checked the check box of reconnect at logon, but I have a few computer that I need to map the drives every time the log on.

Do you know what may be the problem ?

If the computer takes too long too connect it will time out. Sometimes too many services and programs running at startup can cause a slow connection thus making it time out.

You can always create a startup script and map the drives with a "net use" command, then have the script run on a user's login.
