Well my eight year old system that I built has finally given up the ghost, and it's time for a rebuild/upgrade. I'd like to get feedback on what I am looking at building, so please send me anything you can....the good, the bad, and the ugly.

This computer will be primarily used for gaming (online Aces High, Flight Sim X) with minor video and photo editing.

Thanks in advance!

Would change only a couple things, as showed theres no casing/optical i assume you have these parts already?

memory, you can get ddr3 1600 for a little more than 1333mhz

DDR3 1600 Platinum 3x2gb - CL(7-7-7-24)

the 850tx is a nice psu but, im not sure if it is right for the gfx card, if you plan to sli later on, then 850tx would be just fine or even a 750tx. Just for 1 gtx 260, it's a little to much.

Highly recommend a 650tx/750tx.

If you want a aftermarket cooler you can get a s1238v and arctic silver 5 thermal but, for no oc'ing you can just use the stock cooler.

Hard drive, Western Digital Black 640gb would perform faster with only 2 platters and should still have enough space.

Thanks for the reply and advice. Yes, I have the case and going to use the opticals from my last build. Even though I'm going with one gtx, I'm looking to maybe going the SLI route down the road, thus the reason for the 850tx.

I've also had the WD Black 640 recommended, so I will probably change to that drive.
