PC has win XP, 2 laptops win 7, how do I get printer access on laptops?

I am asking for advice before I go to a friends house to set up 2 laptops she bought her daughters.

I have to sneak in Christmas eve and set up wireless internet access and get them to share a printer attached to the XP PC.

It is a netgear wgt624 108mpbs with firewall.

The lap tops are acers if that matters. Can you give me some ammunition I can print out before I go there?

I have never set up a network printer before, let alone wireless. The printer is old school so I suppose it is just attached to the PC via serial or USB.

What will I need to do in XP on the PC for it to share the printer? And what do I have to do in Win 7 for it to find the PC and the printer?

If you right click on the printer once it's installed you can turn on sharing. Once sharing is on, you just asked the other computers to install a printer that is being shared on the network.

Win7 will search for the printer first, if it doesn't find it you can just add it manually. But if it is sharing, it should find it.
