I cant see the contents of my external hard disk

I have a trekstor 250 gb, before it is functioning in either of the computers here; an hp compaq nx 9010 laptop and an Acer desktop. Now I can only see the contents of it on my new laptop an hp with windows 7.

What exactly happens when you plug it in one of the other computers?
