I've just installed Windows 7 RC on my new computer with a 4890 GPU. I've hooked up my two monitors, one an old Dell 19'' at 1600x1200 and the other a year old 24'' Westinghouse monitor at 1920x1200. The Dell monitor isn't as bright, but has a clear picture. On the Westinghouse monitor the text is blurry, icons are grainy, etc. I'm installing Crysis right now to see what the graphics are like in it, but the desktop look is really crappy. Prior to this I've only used it with my PS3, and it's looked gorgeous. It's a 1080p/i screen so it should look fine.

19'' monitor is hooked up via DVI
24'' monitor is hooked up via HDMI /w HDMI-DVI adaptor that came with the 4890.

If I switch the 24'' monitor to 1600x1200 the issue persists. If I drag a window from the 24'' to the 19'' monitor it goes away, so its a monitor problem, not a resolution issue I think. Is it possibly the HDMI connectoion? Unfortunately the 24'' monitor doesn't have a DVI connector, only HDMI and D-SUB.

Any ideas? Settings I need to change, etc?

Running Crysis now, graphics are fine. The Windows 7 wallpaper is fine. It's just the browser/interface that's giving me crappy graphics, not applications :(
