I would skip buying vista .

We are a few months away from Windows 7 and the RC can be downloaded for free from May 5 . It will work for 13 months .

Buy a licencse for Win 7 then and forget vista

Whats RC? The beta? And will it be able to do everything vista would be able to do? Plus i like playing older games ( orignal diablo, warcraft 3, starcraft) and i heard windows 7 wont paly those

RC = release candidate
Windows 7 should play all the games Vista will play and it should play them with higher frame rates.

Theres also versions of Win7 where you have the option to run a virtualised XP environment .
That means you should be able to play anything that runs in XP as well .

On the tomshardware homepage there are news stories about Win7
