Windows 7 Drive Failure Warning

Hi all, I recently upgraded to an ssd and I am using my 1 year old spinpoint F3 for my games, music, etc. . . However, now I am getting a warning about an impending disk failure on the F3. I have run chkdsk multiple times and have yet to find any error. Is this is a software problem, or do I need to replace my F3? Thanks.

  1. Update: Ran the Samsung testing utility(ESTool). Did a full scan and it found zero problems.
  2. Have you run HDTune or some app that can check the SMART values? Perhaps the remapped sectors is beyond it's threshold or something.
  3. No, I have not. I will try that and get back to you.
  4. SpinRite. Go.
