I have the AMD phenom II black and have looked at the brands of thermal material that AMD has recommended and cant seem to find a compound make up on them. I have two types right now both from radio-shack. Both are Arctic Silver one is a compound by Thermaltake with silver, boron nitride, zinc aluminum oxide, and polyol. The other is a radio-shack brand Artic Silver 5 that is 99% silver. I was wondering if anyone has had problems using these as substitutes or should I go ahead and order the recommended product?

I'm ready to build tonight! but don't want screw it up.

Go with either of the ones you have. The difference from the recommended will be minimal and not worth the cost.
