What port must be on the graphics card for my monitor Samsung 2033SW? It has a DVI-D port.
Please check this link: http://www.samsung.com/in/consumer [...] fullspec=F

The majority of today's cards all come with one and sometimes two DVI ports and will work just fine.

Hey again,
Yeah most cards will come with dvi, in fact most come with an adapter for older vga monitors. Just check the specs to be sure.

Hi again buzz...
OK. But what I see on most cards are DVI-I port..
for example, most of the MSI cards I saw have two DVI-I port.
I don't know what is the difference between DVI-D and DVI-I. Plus this single-link and dual-link thing.... How shpuld I choose?
Will DVI-I work with the DVI-D port? And I don't want to use the VGA port...
Thanks for the reply...

The only real difference between DVI-D and DVI-I, is that DVI-I is capable of transerring a analog signal, where DVI-D is not. Looking at the pin layouts, a DVI-D should be able to plug into a DVI-I slot.

This may help or hinder, hopefully the former.

DVI-I is just DVI-D (Digital) + DVI-A (Analog). You can plug a DVI-I output to a DVI-D input no problem.

Unknown mate, but then I'm having my own 'issues' with W7 and as such I'm going to blame the OS. [:mousemonkey]
