Crossfire

I want to find a motherboard for AMD with a AM3 socket and crossfire. I have heard that you need a 790FX chipset to do this is this correct? I have also heard that all you need is a 770 or 790 chipset.

790X, 790GX, and 790FX motherboards will support crossfire. Just curious why do you have 6gb RAM with a dual channel motherboard?

One 2gb kit and a 4gb kit that is how I am running with my 780i which can be done on a vast majority of DDR2 boards so long they support 8gb or ram.

I agree...
Asus 790FX motherboard are full of problems like hypertransport error on X4 cpu. FOr personnal matter, Gigabyte is out of question, so it leaves MSI... and they deliver with AMD.
