Do I need to reinstall my software?

If I move my hard drive to a new computer do i need to reinstall all of my software?

I have a large amount of software that would be a pain in the butt to reinstall so will i have to reinstall all of the software?

You don't mention this, but I'll assume this drive is your boot/OS drive.

If it's referencing programs on other drives, then those programs will need reinstalled. If the motherboards aren't identical or very similar, then you will most likely need to do a clean install anyhow. You may be able to get away with a repair install, but a clean install is reccommended when switching motherboards.

Thank you. I guess it will be time to clear out this 1tb hard drive.
