Hey everyone.

If this is the wrong area to ask this kind of question in then my apologies. However i dont know of a more appropriate place.

Basically my friend is thinking of playing the game Darkfall but he doesnt think he can run the game. So he is going to buy a new graphics card, and a new power supply to run the better Graphics card (Probably).

So this is what his current specs are:

Windows Vista Home premium
Intel Core2 Duo CPU E4400 @ 2.00GHz (I know its a bit slow but he cant afford a new processor atm)
2 GB of DDR2 667Mhz RAM
ATI Radeon X1050 128MB (Needs upgrading, Best to stick with ATI?)
300 Watt PSU
intel desktop board d945gcnl

Ok so those are the specs of his system, obviously not the best, but he actually runs many games not too badly.

Ok so these are the two items he is thinking of buying, the site is in AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS so please remember that and please do not post links to New egg or other US sites because he would like to buy from an Australian provider.

Graphics card: ATI 5750 1GB XFX ($239 AUD)

http://www.itestate.com.au/pages/pro...on&pcode=07372

PSU: 550W CoolerMaster Plus ($89 AUD)

http://www.itestate.com.au/pages/pro...on&pcode=06678

Ok so basically what I wannt know is, not so much whether these cards would be THE BEST to buy on the market.

But more so whether they WILL WORK with the rest of the system I have given?

Would it run games (Like Darkfall if you are familiar with it) to a reasonable extent?

His Price range is up to a max of $350 AUD. These altogether including a flat rate 18 dollar shipping comes to $346.

Would there be a better option using the site www.itestate.com.au as a parts source instead of the items I have listed, And if so please share.

Much appreciated, i hope someone has the time to help us out here.

Ok hes now decided to potentially buy a new mother board so that he can later upgrade RAM as his currant only has 2 ram slots and (I think) only supports up to 667Mhz RAM modules.

MotherBoard Intel S775 Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3L (FSB1600/DDR2 1366+) ($135AUD)

http://www.itestate.com.au/pages/product/pdt_product_detail.faces?BeanName=productDetailAction&pcode=06634

Will This mother board work with his currant processor? "Intel Core2 Duo CPU E4400 @ 2.00GHz"

Again thx, and if anyone could find the time to help me out with the above questions and this one, I would appreciate a lot.

EDIT: And ofcourse as with the question above, If anyone can find a better choice for price within the site; www.itestate.com.au
Then please let me know. However he does not want to spend more than $350 on the GFX card and PSU and no more than about $180 on the Motherboard. Thanks
