Hello,
When I performed an Fdisk (wiped HDD) and put on a clean copy of XP Pro 3, I must have messed it up and now when I boot up, BIOS shows a choice of 2 different versions of XP - One which works and the other doesn't (missing files). My ? is how do I get rid of the other version and if I do a repair, won't that just repair one copy but not get rid of the other? I am buying a new SATA HDD for my computer so I could just do another install there, but then... well the process of installing all the pgms, updating XP is arduous. Any suggestions?

eMachine T5048
intel pent 4 3.01 gig
Intel Corporation D101GGC AAD54032-302 mobo
2 gig ram

It's old and cheap, but more upgrades on the way.

:D Thanks that did the trick! as far as booting up, but boot.ini was showing a partition which I just don't see?! Oh, well, it's no longer up problem when I start up, so that's what I wanted. Thanks again.
