Ok guys i got a question here..now i'm debating between a 4870 and a gtx260 (Core 216 or regular)..from the benches i'm seeing and reviews from users, i'm more leaning toward the 260, but i'm concerned about the power requirements.

the 260 requires minimum of 36amps on the 12v rail..and i'm using an Enermax ELT500AWT which has a combined of 32amps.
What i'm wondering is if it would work properly. So i'm basically asking you all advice on which to decide..why i'm more leaning toward nvidia is because of a bit of excessive heat with the ati card..but i'm open to all opinions and advice because i want to purchase within this week..so please... help :(

My 4870 Ive had for 8 months now and no issues with heat. You can set the fan manually in the driver console to around 40% and it will be just fine as long as you have a good tower with good airflow. I use a Thermaltake 750W ps and never had any issues. 500w is the lower end limit for cards of this caliber including the gtx260. I would invest in a bigger better power supply so there is no doubt in the future.
