I5 480M or i7 740 QM

Hello,
I am planning to purchase a Dell XPS Laptop.I am a developer and work on high end BI applications.I would like to know which one is a better choice for development,i5 480M or i7 740 QM both 4GB RAM.Since the clock speed is slow in i7 740 QM (1.7 GHz) as compared to i5 480 M(2.66 GHz).Both have a turbo boost upto 2.93 GHz.Kindly suggest.

dell skimps on mobo hardcore and ram is ushally cheap and stock cooler.
Im pretty sure that i5 is better stock to stock.

you could try cyberpowerpc.com they have better stuff then dell.
