As stated above, I am looking for the best card regardless of price. ( Since each card's price are fairly close, and all in my price range) At first I was looking just between the 4890 and GTX 280. However, I took a look at the FPS Charts for these three cards, and it appears that not only does the GTX 275 beats out the 280, but it's trading punches with the 4890 also. I would be looking at the BFG Technologies GeForce GTX 275 Video Card, since it was teh one used for testing. So simply stated, what do you belive will be the best performance wise out of the three cards? Thanks.

Its between the 4890 and the 275. Both are great cards, and it depends more on the games you play. Any DX10.1 game, go with ATI. Also other games as well.
It all depends. For DX10.1 games and newer, the 4890 will have a advantage. But if particular games dont matter, and youre not looking to wait for DX10.1 etc, whichever is cheaper

It also depends if you want to plug your computer to a Receiver and want multichannel LPCM (mostly for watching blu-ray movies, not much for games)
I believe NVIDIA still doesn't have that option.

Would it be correct to say then, for better performance for the new and upcoming games, the 4890 would be better? Also just to clarify, the GTX 275 beats out the GTX 280, correct?

I guess that is what I don't seem to get. Why they would be charging more, for the same thing. Either way, it looks like I'm leaning towards the 4890, unless someone else convinces me otherwise.

^ Because newer technology is always cheaper and better. But they can't just drop the price of older technology to rock bottom or they would be losing too much money.

Older tech has a more costly manufacturing price, so they price it higher than cards that may be better than it.
