I just want to thank in advanced those who can help me. I am a noob so please bear with me. I want to OC my Sapphire HD4670(i know its old but its all ive got)
1gb gddr3 (this is the one with Arctic cooling). 750mhz core and
800mhz memory are the stock clocks I have the latest driver as to date. Here are my questions:
1. If i use other softwares to OC do i have to enable ATI Overdrive in
CCC? 2. Rivatuner does not work and so does Atitool. Msi afterburner and
CCC only allow me up to 800mhz core and 923mhz mem. GPUtool
gives me an error upon executing the program. The only thing that
works for me is Ati tray tools. The problem is when i move either or
both the sliders for the core and mem and click apply, they both go
back to their deafult places. Why is this so? Are there any other softwares i can use other than those i mentioned? THANKS!

Hi.

Remove all those OC software and just leave MSI Afterburner. Download ans install HWMonitor to know the temps of your GPU, we are limited for that too.

Regarding your question:

The clocks come back to stock because aren't properly seated, in that way, do the overclock in little steps.

Hi there! For overclocking ATI use the AMD GPU Clock tool. Here is a link I found for a recent version:

http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/1641/mirrors.php

You dont have to turn off ATI Overdrive to use this, it will override ATI Overdrive's settings. It will overclock your GPU until you use it, Afterburner or another tool to reset default clocks, or reset your PC. I believe it can be used to set up an automatic overclock aswell, but you have to configure that.

You can use MSI Afterburner simultaneously to adjust your GPU fan speed to a higher speed (say 50% if you are running hot). I dont know if your 4670 has a fan though (I have a passive 4650 at work)!

you can also try going into Afterburner's config file and change Enable ATI Unofficial overclocking from 0 to 1
