should he get a ati x1950pro
or GeForce 7900 GS 512MB in SLI
of Geforce 7600gts 512 in SLI
or an 9500gt

Are these cards brand new? These are some pretty old cards. Except for the 9500GT

well the 7900gs are brand new micro center sells them for 39.99 and the 7600gt is new and sell for 29.99 and x1950 pro is used and sells for 30

They may be "brand new" because the box has not been opened, but they have been sitting on a shelf for about 4 years somewhere.

Not very well. But that would depend on the rest of the system.. If it is as old as the GPU's (or older) he may not be able to play them at all.
