APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: very soon

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: gaming, surfing the internet

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: I need everything except the mouse and mouse-pad

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg

PARTS PREFERENCES: not too much of a preference here

OVERCLOCKING: maybe but most likely, no

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1680 x 1050

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: first build, mainly need info on the power supply, RAM, Operating system, and if this stuff will all fit in the case i chose. Really not sure at all about choosing XP, VISTA, 32/64 bit.
Not planing on running more than 1 card.

Basically right around where this one equals out to, up to $1200 or so, with monitor

It's a nice low budget build. Your should use 4GB of RAM though.

Move up the fsb (10.5 x 333) 3.5GHz @ 1333 fsb. btw, XP is deadsville for newer games, and 2 gigs doesn't cut it these days. The monitor down below has a faster response time than the one you chose, which means better for gaming.

I would recommend the BFG LS-550 PSU, cheaper and at least as good quality as the Corsair.

Well I would stick with Proximon's option - X3 720.
It would perform significantly better than the E7400...

Hmmm. I wouldn't have thought the BFG would be better than the Corsair.... now I'll have to go look up the reviews again :p
