Hello i purchaced a Abit ip35 Motherboard, now the issue that i am having is i cant seem to get enough power to the prossesor. i keep trying to boot it up but i get the 8.7. post code which is that the prosessor cant get enough power. Now i know that the cpu plug on this mobo is an 8 plug type. I dont have that kind of powersupply so i went to the nearest frys electronics and picked up a 4 pin to 8 pin converter, but im still getting the same Code 8.7. What i want to know is..... Is there a Requirement on power that the IP35 PRO needs What size power supply am i going to have to have to Run this board all i got at this moment is a 285 peak power, 350 peak both of which i have tryed and failed and a 380 peak that i have not tryed yet. and not wanting couse it is in my curent computer and My Baby. I would be Happy if you guys could give me some help. The other Question is will the adapter i bought do the job. this machine isnt going to be used for much of anything other than a media server and media pc hooked to the tv all i need is the power problems fixed and im good to go. Other info you might need is this i have a 3ghz single core prosseor on the mobo, 2 gigs of ram, and just a 64mb pcie graphics card with a AV TV out put nothing powerful. Please help ITS driving me crazy..
