Just recently, I noticed that my computer is very slow detecting plug-and-play devices attached to USB ports, and in some cases, will not detect them at all. This is anything from a flash drive to a joystick. I am running Vista x64 on an Asus M/B with an AMD Phenom 9500 and 8GB RAM. Any ideas?

Have you checked the BIOS Settings? May want to try a BIOS flash as well.
