Last response: in Windows XP

I just replaced my hard drive and installed official windows xp recovery discs. I used to use the sleep mode on my old drive a lot but it is now not highlighted (via start menu) and I need to turn the computer off to save energy. How can I get the sleep and/or hibernate mode to be functional?

Install the power management drivers from the vendor. Should be able to get the latest drivers from their web site.
