I currently have a 2Wire router/modem. It has for wired ports built into the router. I have a PC and 2 gaming consoles plugged into it.

I am having problems getting the wireless signal in parts of the home. So, I have ran a 100ft network cable to the other destination.

So, what I was hoping to do is add a switch to plug the other devices into (2 more consoles, a TV and VCR). Can I plug in the switch to the lsat part of the router and be fine? Do I need another router? Do I need to do any configuration to the switch?

Yes, a switch will work.
