Can i gigabyte superB 430w power this system. I'm planning to add a PALIT 9600gt 512 as my GPU. Can the PSU handle this without any problems?

Here is the rest of the specs:

Mobo: Gigabyte 780g
Pro: Phenom x3 8650 Tri-core
Ram: 4gb kingston pc800
HDD: 320 SATA
CD-Rom: 1 DVD+RW

9600GT only uses ~5A, your PSU will be fine.

Your PSU will be ok for the 9600GT, but if you upgrade to anything more powerful or power hungry, you most likely will need to upgrade your PSU as well.

You'll be fine. I could run 3870 with c2d e4600@3ghz on 400W psu from Delta.

Yes it should be fine.I was considering that PSU for a 9800GT but I ended up buying a Corsair 4000CX.

I'm having a second thought buying a PALIT 9800gt...
Is this card going to have a problem or will it run this card smoothly?

If not i'm going for 9600gt^^

9800GT is a better card than 9600Gt and it will run properly with that PSU.
But if you are planning for an overclock then consider something better.

So have you tried 9800gt with a superB 460w???
I'm not going to OC or anything because Palit 9800gt i think is factory OC'ed and i don't want to OC any further(from youtube review^^)

What do you think should i buy this PSU?

How can i know the Amps and what is 12v rails??? I'm noob in PSU^^...

If you don't already own it, I'd recommend Corsair VX450 instead.

GPU"s need external power from the PSU via a 6 pin connector if I remember correctly that is powered by the 12v rail. That'sa why a GPU specs on its box will say like 26 amps or something. Some power supplies haves a single 12v rail with 50 amps or more, while others have 2-4 rails with 18 amps.

If you haven't bought it yet then go with this or the VX450.

Not tried that PSU cuz I bought a Corsair CX400.
Its cheap and very reliable and almost noiseless.
I strongly recommend it.

But if you wanna spend less then get that Gigabyte one.

Corsair is definitely the better choice.

The only choice i have is this because corsair is not available in our country and gigabyte 460w is the only one i can afford....

So can this PSU enough to power the Palit 9800gt 512mb???

That PSU should be fine, but the 12V power is very low for a 550W which may limit future upgrades. I would recommend saving up to buy a better one.

Hey... I have another available choice and it's the HEC RAPTOR 500w SLI Ready.The price is really close with the Gigabyte 460w...

I think i'll have this PSU instead of the Gigabyte...

What's your opinion people???

my old 9500gt 512 works just fine on a none name 380w (the new 280gtx is not), i use the 9500gt for over a year with out problems

HEC RAPTOR 500w would be better but can't comment on the quality of that PSU.

It has slightly more 12V power, but it is low quality.
