Need help with my i5 760

+2 on the Hyper 212 Plus http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1620587 Look what i have achieved with it, having in mind the crappy mobo and ram Temps havent went beyond 65c. Must have hit a good chip. (voltage set to 1.2v, Turbo boost enabled).

Hyper 212+ has to be the price/performance leader. Get it

Installs very solid to the socket(spring loaded.) and board(nice backplate) as well.

well ***, my bad. The other cooler should work if you can get one where you live. ANYTHING is better then the stock cooler.

Thats the cooler i've got on my i5-760 and it comfortably goes to 3.6GHz. When I pushed it up to ~4GHz it does get a bit hot whilst running Prime95 so I backed off. As an aside to this, how hot would you lot allow your CPU to get whilst running Prime95 large FFT's for 1 hour?

80C would be a max for those willing to push.... (Prime 95)

70C-75C is more conservative.... (Prime 95)


NOTE: the chips will shut themselves off at about 100C
