Help on getting the right SSD

Hi, im in search for a SSD drive, and i narrowed it down between:

OCZ Technology 240 GB Vertex 2 Series SATA II 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSD2-2VTXE240G

Intel 2.5-Inch 160 GB X25-M Mainstream SATA II MLC Solid State Drive OEM SSDSA2MH160G2C1

I've seen reviews and they seem quite similar (not in size), can anyone help me decide?

Primary stats are fast boot time and fast app loading time (mostly games :ange: )

The Vertex-2 (Uses the SF-1200 Controller) is faster than the intel G2. (PS have both).
Here is one review, there are several

The vertex performs best on an Intel P5d/H55/X58 MB using the latest intel ahci driver (Ver 9.6) (Google Intel RST) to fin download of the matrix driver and the "F6" driver. If you have the AMD chipset, check to see if they have put out a updated driver that allows Trim to work other wize you will have to use the default msahci driver which knocks the performance down some.

If you installed without the "F6" driver would it be possible to "upgrade" the driver later when windows is already installed to still get max performance?
Or would you have to re-install OS to realize this?
  4. I'm not sure. It might be possible with some editing of the registry.
