I have a MSI K9N2 Diamond, i have been looking and in some forums people say that this borad does support a phenom II X4 955, (which is the one i want), but some say that it does if you update the BIOS, my BIOS version is 2.3, i want to know if i can install the Phenom II X4 955, and if it doesnt how doi update my BIOS? i ask this because my motherboard supports DDR2 ram and the Phenom II X4 955 supports DDR3, so i am kind of confused...
Thanks for your answer...

Yes, your board support the Phenom II X4 955. BUT you need update the BIOS or the processor will be not recognize.

I have the Phenom II X4 955 on a K9A2 Platinum, that is the same board that you have except for the chipset. And the processor support DDR2 too, I have it with 6GB DDR2.

Could you please tell me how i can update my Bios, i have the 2.3 version and on the msi page there is the 2.4 available, thanks you for your time, and i have already asked this but can i put more than 4gb(2x2Gb) memory at 1066Mhz or will it only support my 2 sticks of 2gb at 1066Mhz??
Thanks...

The most easy process to update your BIOS is that you download the LiveUpdate from MSI. Install this, and start the program, look for BIOS updates and select update. The program will do the rest of the process for you.

See the link, is a better explanation for the process.

And you can install 8GB to 1066MHz without problems.
