How to set up RAID on the HP Pavillion 9060US

I was formatting my dads laptop and I noticed while deleteing his partitions that there are actually two hard drives (both 120gb) inside. After hours of researching how to set up RAID 0 (to make both hard drive one) it seems that I need to set up RAID before installing the OS. I have no clue how this is possible and I am not finding any help while google-ing. My main issue is how I am able to use a program like "computer manager" without an OS installed. The bios (phionexBIOS) has not options for the hard drives. It driving me up the wall.

Help or a prode in the right direction would be great. Thanks!

No RAID option on that boat anchor, and yes, if it did, you'd turn it on in the BIOS and a secondary RAID ROM option would be used to setup the array...

I would not recommend RAID 0 on laptops. The chance of hdd failure doubles. If one hdd goes bad, you lose all the data.

Does the laptop mobo have RAID controller? If not, you will need to use software RAID. The few RAID setup I did was hardware RAID so I don't know which software is the best for you..
