monitor resolution
For the record, I've got a 19" at 1024x768 @ 75hz. I'd like to have it higher, but my optiquest q95 can kill a man if set at 1600x1200
1024, but after using my 17" TFT at work set to 1280, it seems overly large. Time for a change of res I think.

It's funny how the older resolution seems HUGE when you change to a higher one. I bought a new monitor recently and was using 800*600 since i was too used to it. Now after changin to 1024*768 I'm like wtf 800 is like for blind people.

Agree completely. Checked out a machine that had come back to the office recently for hardware failure, replaced a couple of components and voila, fixed. Powered it on to test and.....AARRGHHH! 640 x480! NOOOO! Nearly killed me. Can't believe that we actually used to use that res.

Running at 1024x768 on a cheap 17". At home I run 1280x1024 on my 21" Accusynch (man I miss that monitor LOL).

i disagree. 60 hz gives me a headache. my first main monitor is at 75 hz and 1024 x 768. my second monitor is at 1280x1024 at 72 hz. the second is proprietary.
