monitor resolution
For the record, I've got a 19" at 1024x768 @ 75hz. I'd like to have it higher, but my optiquest q95 can kill a man if set at 1600x1200

It's all good ^_^

1024, but after using my 17" TFT at work set to 1280, it seems overly large. Time for a change of res I think.

It's funny how the older resolution seems HUGE when you change to a higher one. I bought a new monitor recently and was using 800*600 since i was too used to it. Now after changin to 1024*768 I'm like wtf 800 is like for blind people.

Agree completely. Checked out a machine that had come back to the office recently for hardware failure, replaced a couple of components and voila, fixed. Powered it on to test and.....AARRGHHH! 640 x480! NOOOO! Nearly killed me. Can't believe that we actually used to use that res.

LMAO!

Once upon a time I used to like 800 x 600, now I can't stand that! I'm now used to 1024 x 768.

1024x768 @ 85Hz for desktop, often 1280x1024 for 3D games.

Instead of Rdram, why not just merge 4 Sdram channels...

1024x768 @ 116Hz desktop. Same for games- 17" CRT.

Samsung 900NF here.

1280 x 1024 @ 100Hz for my desktop... Run most games at 1600 x 1200 @ 85Hz

Well the human eye can only see 60 fps, so everything abopve 60 would be enough. I prefer 85 or 100 Hz though to make it more smoot.

i disagree. 60 hz gives me a headache. my first main monitor is at 75 hz and 1024 x 768. my second monitor is at 1280x1024 at 72 hz. the second is proprietary.

Yeah, my school uses mostly 60hz and it drives me insane looking at them. There is a huge difference between 60 and 75

As I said... 60Hz sucks, but everything above it (thus 70 Hz or higher... as I never saw 65 Hz) should be enough to prevent a headache.
