hello everyone,

i just bought a new PSU.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

after ordering, i saw that it only has a 8-PIN cable for the CPU. My motherboard only supports a 4-PIN. Will it be ok to plug it in even though half of it will be sticking out?

I thought about a 8-4pin adapter, but i have read some bad things about them.

Thanks

Yes, Works fine like that.

You can also seperate the 8pin connector into its native 2 x 4pin. Look close, seperates by sliding pin to wire direction .
