Xp black screen

my laptop was working fine one min then it went to sleep and has a black screen and will not boot I recently put in a 1 tb hard drive because my other drive crashed what can I do

How about some specifics, laptop and hard drive ?

Also was it working for awhile after installing the hard drive, but when it first went to sleep, you get the black screen ?
