Hi, Im using Win XP Pro SP2. I set my regional setting to English(UK) which
the date is in dd/mm/yyyy format. The problem is, everytime I restart the
PC, the day and month of the date got switched around.

Eg.: Short date format : dd/mm/yyyy
Before shutting down: 08/06/2004 (Tuesday, June 8th, 2004)
After starting up: 06/08/2004 (Friday, August 6th, 2004)

Any ideas what's going on?

aren't they? You might try right clicking the taskbar and
go to 'Adjust Date/Time'.

Yes, that's how I adjust the date everytime they got switched around after
restarting the PC. If you look at the situation below in my first post, the
system will mistakenly take the day part as the month, and the month as the
day during boot up. I suspects it got switched around during boot up
because, the date on the tray icon was correct briefly during the booting
up, then suddenly the day and month got switched around moments after that.
I think it's got to do with the regional settings, or something like that.
