Radeon 4770 not recognized by windows 7?

Forum Systems : New Build Radeon 4770 not recognized by windows 7?

I just built a system yesterday using amd x3 720be, foxconn a7da, 4 gig ram, corsair 450HX, and 4770. I installed windows 7 RC1. Only problem was that windows 7 couldn't even tell that i had a video card in there so it uses the default "standard vga adapter". Removing the 4770 automatically installed the driver for ati 3300 HD. Is my video card defective or am i doing something wrong?

Did you install Catalysts 9.4 drivers for your video card? Sometimes Windows can't recognize new video cards before they have some drivers ready for it.
You can get the drivers here:

Is your video card really plugged in? Sometimes there's small problems while plugging it in... What about 9.4?
Did you check on MS website forums about problems between that card and Windows 7?
