Silly basic Radeon HD 4770 question

Hi, I'm new here, sorry if this has already been asked but I've been going over the Tom's Hardware review of the Radeon HD 4770 and was especially impressed by its crossfire performance! Especially for somebody on a budget like myself! Beating out card far more expensive is certainly something amazing but I have a question. Crossfire is great and all for raw performance but what about things like scaling that multi card VGA setups have always have had a problem with? Would you suggest 2 4770s over a 4870 1GB? In your opinion would the 1GB GDDR5 4770s coming out soon be better for crossfire?

errrr.... I now realise theres another thread on this exact topic already, woops! Sorry! But if you would like to weight in on the pros and cons on two 4770s compared to one 4890 I'd certainly be open to hear it!
