I have been searching for info on how to stop an
application from starting automatically each time I boot
up my PC. I can't find an option for this within the
application nor can I find a service to stop for this.
Any suggestions? It's taking forever to boot up my PC!

You can run msconfig.exe, go to the Startup tab, and uncheck the item
that is starting so slowly.
Or, if you think this may be caused by spyware, download Ad-aware and
remove any spyware you might have.

The best way to stop programs from running automatically
at startup is from within the programs themselves. Right-
click on the icon in the SysTray (if it's there) and go to
Properties or Options and look for an option to prevent
the automatic startup. Also look in the Startup Folder.
You can also use MSCONFIG, the Windows XP System
Configuration Utility

BUT in some cases the program will put itself right back
on the Startup tab.
Most items on the Startup tab of the System Configuration
Utility are OPTIONAL . . . Do some research and ask
questions and KNOW what you're doing before just disabling
all of them . . .
