a 4890 in CF beats out gtx 295, or known as gtx 260's in a bundle, so do you think i can stick in 4890's in CF and a 4870X2? dunno if thats possible, but i heard CF is flexible

The 4890s are the way to go. Stock they are better and if heat isn't an issue in the crossfire setup the overclocking potential is huge.

yeah lol right after i posted this i went right back to my statement of getting the CF 4890's, they're great for the price, which manufacturer should i get? i heard the XFX one was quite good

Also, can you run 4890 in CF and a 4870X2? i heard CF was flexible, thought that might work

Reply to computernewbie

XFX or Sapphire are good. I'm pretty sure you could run CF 4890s and a 4870X2 in quadfire (all 4000 series can be CF together) but it might downclock the 4890s to 4870 speeds. I would just add another 4890 probably.
